Privacy policy
Walden (“Walden”, “we”) coordinates home and property services on your behalf. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as the job requires.
What we collect
- Contact details: your mobile number and name, and your email if you give it.
- Request details: the messages, photos, addresses, access instructions, budget limits, and approvals you send us about a job.
- Third-party details you share: for example a tenant's availability or contact, which we use only to coordinate the job you asked for.
- Website data: standard server logs and, if we enable analytics, aggregate usage of heywalden.com. We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To understand your request, ask clarifying questions, and find service options.
- To share the minimum necessary details with a provider you have approved.
- To keep a record of quotes, approvals, and completion evidence for your job.
- To respond to support questions and improve the service.
We use software to help read and organize requests. People review jobs and every provider option before it reaches you. We do not sell your information or use it for anything beyond your jobs.
What we share
- Service providers you approve: the job scope, address, access details, and scheduling contact needed to do the work. Not your budget limit or unrelated details.
- Tenants or occupants, with your permission: who is coming and when.
- Vendors that run our service: messaging, hosting, and payment processors, under contracts that limit their use of your data.
- Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect safety.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their marketing.
Retention
We keep job records for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve issues, and meet legal obligations. Photos of inspection reports or other documents you send are kept only as long as needed for the job unless you ask us to keep them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving messages. See our SMS terms.
- Email hello@heywalden.com to access, correct, or delete your information.
- California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, which you can exercise through the same email.
Security
Access instructions, lockbox codes, and similar details are stored with restricted access and shared only with the provider you approved for the job. No system is perfectly secure, so please share only what the job needs.
Children
Walden is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will post the update here and, where appropriate, let you know by text.
